Jamia Siraj ul Uloom offers two Alimiyyah courses: for males and females.
The Alimiyyah Programme is a six-year part-time course grounded in the traditional Dars-e-Nizami syllabus. It empowers students with a deep understanding of the higher Islamic Sciences, while helping to develop spiritual and intellectual growth in an environment that fosters respect for tradition and the sacred transmission of knowledge.

📅 Duration: 6 years
The Alimiyyah Programme is designed as a part-time course, allowing students to balance their studies with personal or professional commitments.
🕑 Schedule: Mon-Fri, 5:30pm to 8:30pm
Evening classes ensure flexibility for students who may be working or have other daytime commitments.
💷 £1,200 per year
The cost of the programme ensures high-quality instruction and resources for every student. Payment plans are available for ease of access.
🎁 Free Taster Period
We offer a free two-weeks taster period for prospective students to get a feel for the course before committing.
How to Apply
Step 1: Complete the online enrolment form.
Step 2: After submitting your application, you’ll be contacted for an interview to discuss your goals and the course expectations.
Step 3: Once accepted, you’ll receive full details on your schedule, class start dates, and student resources.
Entry Requirements
- Separate programmes are offered for males and females
- Aged 14 years or over
- Can read Qur’an at a basic level
- Commitment to the Jamia’s values of respect, tolerance, peace and harmony
Fees and Funding
- There is a £100 one-off registration fee, payable upon acceptance.
- The tuition fee is £1200 per academic year, payable in installments.
- The Jamia may be able to offer bursaries to students in financial difficulties.
